This has been very fun. I am definitely looking forward to the punchlines, whatever they might be. I have no preconceptions for how this will turn out in 2 more parts, so at this point I'm in it for the ride.
That was great! I appreciated the connection between the tattered world we've been living in recently and the one that showed up after Shadowloss took hold. I was able to see that whole part of life (the last couple-few years) from a different perspective, which felt nice. And the fact that he chose to go back to Kat after recognizing his part in the eventual demise of their relationship and his own happiness also felt hopeful - like they both might get totally shaken up and make some big changes as a result and possibly end up having an even more solid relationship with other as a result of going through that mess. Like, it feels like an excitement for that relationship looking at it that way, vs "he is settling" again - to me, he isn't settling and so that version doesn't feel true to me.
