100% concur and this is an essential part 2! As a freelance artist, my work wasn’t, “look what I created, wanna buy it?” Instead, I earned my living by collaborating and creating what each client wanted. Nevertheless, in order to create anything of quality, I need everyone gone. I’m brash enough to verbally require it.

An example: my client was continuing to watch me work after we’d gone over what was expected. I stopped & said, “ok, you need to leave now.” He laughed & said he’d be offended if he thought I really meant that. I concluded with, “then be offended. I can either focus on & create what we’ve talked about or you can stick around and chat, resulting in my wrecking this.” He nodded and walked away.

I can barely put words together on a screen if there's anyone even in the same room with me.
